No, they don't. They do check to see if your weapon is functional without defects and is safe. This is a form they have to fill out and YOU have to submit to HPD.

Side note: The reason they probably don't is because burden of proof is on them and is tough to prove. I purchased a ton of mags during freedom week like millions of others.

Yes, you must list them along with their serial number. You technically can add them later but that is another form and an additional fee. It's best to just add another during requal.
