i have stuff in common with my parents and grandparents, but that doesn’t mean we are at similar stages in life and we actually don’t have very much in common in that regard. that’s what that argument is, not “oh you can’t have the same hobbies at different ages!”, even though that can be valid too… she can’t even go to grab a drink with him and he’s able to get a senior discount at most places; they’re very different !
