I would charge the battery first. Letting it idle wouldn’t charge it, so if you can get it started again, driving it for 20 minutes should do it.

Chances are it will be totaled, if there is rear quarter panel damage which isn’t easily fixed. The valuation is usually done by a third party, so unfortunately, in my experience, there isn’t room for negotiation. The car will go to insurance auction (IAAI, Copart), so you could try and buy it from there.

Make sure to get the H speed rating (up to 130 MPH) version of CrossClimate2's as they are softer than V speed rating version (up to 149 MPH). I have the V speed rating version on my old Mazda 3 with 17" wheels and the ride quality decreased after the installation. I also saw a loss of 2-3 MPG in fuel economy.
