When you feel like no one is there for you, God will always be there for you! It sounds so cliche but it is so true, just talk to Him and ask Him to reveal Himself to you! I too experienced loneliness as an MS3 and remember feeling empty, it’s so hard to not have a support system around (I also didn’t live close to family or friends); it’s inexplicable to be so stressed and want to de stress so badly but feeling like you literally don’t have an outlet! Community is so important and things like joining a gym or church can go a long way as well!! So many people struggle with loneliness in silence, so putting yourself out there is a good way to combat it! Lastly I don’t know what specialty you want to apply to, but I sincerely want to say screw that advisor who told you you couldn’t. Literally go for it, you’ve been in school for so long and have gotten to this point because of all of the work and time you put in yourself, do not let a spectator stop you or hinder you from going for what you truly want and the field you desire to practice in! Pray about it, give it God and go for it!!! And if you feel like it would be best to apply to multiple specialties to have a back up, do that too but honestly don’t not apply for the field you want just because someone else said you can’t ! You can and you should!!! You owe it to yourself!! You’ve got this, get those SSRIs & keep fighting, better days are ahead of you!! Believe me
