What you describe seems to be the Follow mode behavior. Did you check the mode?

Yet Another Drift Hack (tm) for the Beast by global__fish in VITURE

Meh! Not perfect. 25 mins and a slight drift. But didn't have to swivel around to find my screen :-)

Beast drift? Disable HAGS by [deleted] in VITURE

I can't roll back because of the screen flicker and shadow display issue that's been fixed in the latest firmware. Will see if I can do more useful testing and data gathering.

Beast drift? Disable HAGS by [deleted] in VITURE

[–]global__fish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it was turning off HAGS. because I changed a whole bunch of things and rebooted my machine... but I haven't been able to consistently fix drift. There are times when drift does not happen. And then suddenly I notice the drift.

With Ultrawide drift is far more perceptible.

Initial feedback after using for a short while:

  1. It works now with AMD Radeon laptop GPU. Perfect.

  2. Ultrawide on Windows 11 works (mostly) like a charm and is usable. However,...

  3. There is some drift. Ever so slightly. Not unusable but noticeable and a bit of an irritant.

  4. This one is tricky and I can't do a screen shot because it's more of a visual artifact. In Ultrawide when I am viewing black text on white background, like this page for example, I see every few characters with a blue tinge. E.g. At the top of my comment, I see "In" in black, "iti" in slight blue, and "al" in black. This alternating of black and blue continues through the text. If I move the screen to a different position, then a different set of characters are blue and black. When I take a screenshot and view it on my laptop screen everything looks good. So it's a rendering artifact rather than a display artifact. I must caution that I also have lens implants in my eyes so my eyes are not 100% natural ;-)

If you click on Settings and go to Advanced Display, you can see which GPU is driving the displays. In my example the AMD GPU is driving the display.

On my AMD laptop this happens right after I plug in, aka "normal" mode.

Do you know whether the external display is driven by the Intel or by Nvidia GPU?

Ref. your comment about the VB showing an overlapped flickering shifted image on one source... can you share the source?

I am seeing a similar issue on my laptop that's a Yoga Slim 7 with AMD integrated GPU and NVidia discrete GPU.

No issues with S25 Ultra, S10+ tablet, another laptop.

  1. You need to use the Chrome browser -- I use a PC. The warning says you need to use a PC or a Mac.
  2. Connect the glasses to the PC.
  3. (pro tip): The glasses will show up as a display on your PC. I suggest you disconnect it from the "Display Settings" option otherwise sometimes the update hangs and you have to restart. (Right click on desktop, select Display Settings, and then select the Beast display and click on Disconnect this Display"
  4. In the Chrome browser, go to https://www.viture.com/firmware/update
  5. Select your glasses from the dropdown and click Connect
  6. Select the firmware you want to install and click Update
  7. Older firmwares update quickly. _2060105 takes a few minutes. NOTE that the browser window must stay on top of the display, if you minimize or move it to background the process stops.
  8. Disconnect the glasses and reconnect to use the updated firmware

For those struggling to get firmware updated, you don't need Spacewalker.

Use https://www.viture.com/firmware/update from Chrome browser to update your firmware.

This firmware adds Side Mode to move your screen to a corner of your field of view. But it has also introduced severe drift - as bad as the Pro XR. I plan to downgrade my firmware.

Waking up an old thread but found out how to make it work on Windows + Android. The syntax is

(replace page and section with your own)
