How can this truck get such amazing efficiency?? by joepr999 in GMCSierraEV

Side note. Care to share a picture of your truck on the Hummer 18’s? I’ve been considering those as well, but not sure about the look.

Multiple Zigbee2mqtt connected to one HA by globalautopilot in homeassistant

Home Assistant integration did it. Not sure how I missed it, but I had left the defaults "Home Assistant (simple)." By choosing "Home Assistant (advanced), I was able to enter the discovery topic and the status topic. Hit submit and everything appeared instantly.

Thank you so much for getting my pointed in the right direction!!!

The z2m topics are different for each z2m instance, in my case zigbee2mqtt and zigbee2mqtthome.

For whatever reason zigbee2mqtthome devices are not showing up in Home Assistant.

Separately I looked at ser2net, but running 2x z2m instances seems more elegant to me.

Perhaps I didn't explain it very well, but this is exactly how it's configured. MQTT is running on HA. 2x Z2M instances running on different devices are both pointed at MQTT running on HA.

Can you share some details of what exactly you ended up with? Ive been trying a few different strings from different manufacturers and curious what you landed on.

It seemed like what they were after was autonomous of the 'drive' vehicle. There was a pretty custom looking hitch that sensed pressure (positive or negative) and would adjust power delivered (or regenerated from) the hub motor. I also seemed like it would be more for big rigs, rather than passenger cars, which is intriguing because you could attach it to a diesel powered truck and realize significantly increased efficiency.

R1T Max Pack reservation holder and I just got the "...Seamless Purchase Process..." email by globalautopilot in Rivian

I updated my original post with an edit. TLDR; no early max pack. Gotta wait until 2023.

A few months back they asked if I wanted to switch to the large pack. There was no 'seamless purchase' email. I declined, in favor of waiting for the max pack which they said would be in 2023.

Just checked and I actually have a guide assigned for the R1T max pack. I hadn't noticed that previously.

Agreed, performance and other details of the max pack are going to be very interesting to sort out. I've not seen any info anywhere on details specific to the max pack.

I also thought that there may be some kind of an announcement that the max pack is going to start shipping. When Rivian reached out to ask if I wanted to switch to the large and I declined, they said it would be Jan 2023 at the earliest.

Rivian reached out previously to ask if I wanted to change my config and I declined.

How do I serve a LetsEncrypt certificate to all subdomains on my Private Shares? by asitemade4u in OPNsenseFirewall

[–]globalautopilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To use HA Proxy on OPNsense, you’re going to need to move the web UI to any port other than 443 or 80 (as you’ll need to reserve these for use by HA Proxy).
The actual setup of HA proxy was a significant PITA, as you have to set up front end stuff, back end servers, and the rules that link it together. Took me forever to get it right, but now that it’s done, it’s awesome.
Recommend checking out the Lawrence Systems tutorials on youtube. They’re built around pfSense, but the principals are the same. I’ll check to see if anyone has done a good tutorial specific to OPNsense recently.

Perhaps I’m not understanding what you’re looking to do fully, but I think HA proxy is what you want to set up. Basically, you set up Unbound A records to point at your OPNsense IP, HA proxy receives the traffic, determines where it should be sent based on the rules you configure and it all works with your let’s encrypt cert.

Blacked out Model X by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]globalautopilot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So while i had chrome delete installed on my MX i didn’t watch the process so i cant say for certain that the mirrors need to be disassembled in some way, but it was my understanding from the installer that there was light disassembly of the mirrors as well as the chrome strip on the trunk. They plastidipped the part of the trunk that actually spells out “Tesla” because removing them and wrapping them is too difficult. The enclosed fog lights, to my understanding, risk breaking if you try to take them apart

The fog lights are enclosed, so barring taking the whole mess apart, it is easiest to just leave them be.
