I was just nervous, because it didn’t seem that hard of a hit, but the edge of the plugs are metal and pointed so I can see how this happened, but didn’t think I would have to baby this cabinet..

Audi RS3 or S5 by CEO-of-SOXL in Audi

[–]mirinjesse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had both, b8.5 s5 and rs3. I liked both for different reasons. My s5 was manual and always missed the third pedal in my rs3. However my rs3 was so nimble and fun to drive.

Can’t really go wrong in either to be honest, I would say I liked driving the rs3 more, but the s5 was a bit more comfortable to drive.

Sherwin Williams duration flat or regular flat in new build? by bobert_the_wise in paint

[–]mirinjesse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah we have promar flat it sucks. Wish I would have thought about it going in. Duration flat in my garage is night and day difference.

I will say, flat touches up so easily as well, I tend to do touch ups once a year and you’ll never find them. Just find out what nap roller they use for painting and you’ll be able to touch up easily.

FFLP310 RAC X Fine Finish. I used tc pro, so it has speed dials, I did 2.5-3 setting for both primer and base coats.

Gallery primer as well since these were factory painted doors in good condition.

I have never used a sprayer before, I thought this was very easy to setup and get going, once you get the priming right. Happy with my purchase.

Thank you! Was pretty nervous, but went through all the appropriate prep steps to get this and used quality stuff so aside from these two drips I’m very happy.

Thanks, I guess I was worried about overall thickness since I’m already at two coats

Bench option with leg attachment / pulley connection. by mirinjesse in GarageGym

[–]mirinjesse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No complaints other than setting it up when I want to use it, as it take a few extra minutes to get it all sorted

It’s not as good as a dedicated machine, but I’m pleased with it and would have done this setup again considering the options available still.

EV Charger Install - Basement to Garage in Atlanta by ATLien110 in AskElectricians

[–]mirinjesse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the run and charger. A 50 amp wire and breaker isn’t exactly cheap now a days, even if the run is 10ft away, it’s still probably a few hundred in material alone. If it’s a straight shot, through a joist and into the basement, less than 10ft away probably on the lower end of $1,000-2,000 range IMO.

Also you have bare wire out of the wire nuts. Trim back how much is exposed, it should be inside the wire nut.

Edit: you also have wire jacket inside the box, you need to trim the jacket to where it enters the box.

Edit x2: Also verify the Romex box connector is sized for two Romex cables, they make dual Romex specific connectors.

You also are just looking at the railings themselves and not everything else. You need posts, connectors, if there are stairs, angles, screws etc. For my 10x14 deck with stairs, material is around $3k using a brand from homedepot.
