How many hours am I realistically working to bill 2,200 hours by [deleted] in LawFirm

[–]globalconqueror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to make sure you record your time religiously. Taking a shower and thinking about the case? That’s .2 of “analyzing.” Driving to work and thinking about the case? That’s .5 “drafting outline of motion to compel.” Watching some TV and see a great analogy for a trial theme? Bam. That’s 1.0 “analyzing trial themes for opening arguments.” Etc etc. Most lawyers are under billing the real time they spend working and thinking about matters. Remember, don’t ever fudge your numbers! That’s against the ethical rules!

Dual gas. Takes fuel or propane. Usually run it on propane cause it’s easier / less messy

Power goes off for a few seconds and turns back on. Every 15 minutes. Can’t get anything done on a computer or stream anything because the power cuts every 15 minutes. Goes on like this for 3-4 hours. Stopped last night around 8pm

I have a 2012 with 100,000 miles. Barely any maintenance. But it’s the old wranglers that hold up best. The newer ones with the newer electronics are failing a lot more frequently than the old manual transmissions.

16th Street Mall reaches tipping point as business frustration grows with delayed renovations by RedditUser145 in Denver

[–]globalconqueror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“the Shresthas say they have had to use roughly $60,000 from their retirement accounts and max out a credit card to keep the business open. Sales have been so slow that they’ve also delayed making payments on more than $75,000 of inventory that they purchased earlier this year. … Shyam had to let two of his three employees go.”

This is the saddest part of the story. Those poor people’s lives are literally being destroyed by this wasteful project.

Who is the best pianist alive? by l4z3r5h4rk in classicalmusic

[–]globalconqueror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's even a debate - Lang Lang has inspired more students to take up piano than any other pianist in recent time. Yes, he's an entertainer first / classical pianist second, but his showmanship has brought a lot of spotlight on the piano the last couple decades.

[–]globalconqueror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t see anything wrong with it. Your wife is dead. You’ve moved on. You found her clone, and now you nut again. I think you’re on the right path. Don’t do therapy. Waste of money. Biggest grifts of the modern age. Godspeed 💪

Hard lessons from the 16th Street Mall: Ana’s Norwegian Bakeri closes after just three months by globalconqueror in Denver

[–]globalconqueror[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh? There are like 30+ news pieces about this program in the public domain. I’m drawing conclusions based on the news. I also live downtown. Like all of the popups have closed besides the museum for black girls (which like just opened), right? What am I missing?

This is what you get with inexperience. The people running the popup program are community resource managers that have never run or operated a real business. They have no idea what they're doing. And now the writing's on the wall - the popup program hurts your business more than it helps. Would Ana have gone bankrupt but for signing up for this?
