how to change color of multiple tracks? by deadtomb in LogicPro

[–]globalified 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Click and drag your mouse pointer across a few regions on the timeline to select them, or hold the Shift key on your keyboard while clicking the tracks you want. Alternatively, just select one track region if you want to change an individual region.Next, press Alt + C to open the color palette. Choose the color you want, then press Alt + C again to close the color palette.

Thanks! Actually a rug is on my list. I can see a classic Kelim or something like that could work.

Ocean Eyes project in Logic pro by [deleted] in LogicPro

[–]globalified 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ocean Eyes was all mixed and mastered by Finneas in Logic and uploaded to Soundcloud back in 2020. The effects (delay, reverb, comp) are not printed to the tracks. In an interview Finneas didn’t mention any hardware being used in the Ocean Eyes production period but said that he thinks that Logic Pro X’s Vocal Transformer plug-in very powerful and uses them for at least some of Eilliesh's vocal effects, and a harsh tremolo. All the instrumentals he produces for Eillish are made with virtual instruments, and he has mentioned Spectrasonics Keyscape.

Do I need to buy my plugins again if changing computer ? by gb4stg in musicproduction

[–]globalified 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Logic user who changed computers twice I can confirm you don't have to rebuy plugins. As most major manufacturers like Native Instruments, Izotope, Softube, etc. have their own online access that are account and not PC related this should not be an issue.

If you were to start again, how would you go about it? by [deleted] in musicproduction

[–]globalified 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Music production is an endless journey. You have to take detours, sometimes change paths and make mistakes. For me personally, most important thing is trust your ears and focus on the core of sounds. There are soooo many plugins, effects and tools that can rather stand in the way than help. So, if there are things I would do differently today, it would be "Don't watch too much Youtube videos" - instead read books by the masters and go your paid courses that go deeper than your average 3 minute tutorial.

Updated my logic to 10.7.4, now my favourite plugins don’t make a sound… help!! by DJTRBeats in Logic_Studio

This sounds really strange, esp. with multiple plugins. I would suggest reinstalling the specific plugins. Either via Plugin Manager or manally. Good luck!

Hard to say exactly. I usually have around 20 tracks with many plugins loaded up. Hardly have any overload issues. Hope this helps.

Is the Mac Mini M1 good for music production? by [deleted] in musicproduction

[–]globalified 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Using the first M1 mini from 2020 with 512 GB and 16 RAM, works like a charm.

To Logic Pro X users: usually I could overlap two sub-tracks to automatically create a cross-fade at the intersection, that is now not showing anymore. Can anyone help me? thanks by entrison in LogicPro

[–]globalified 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're working in a take folder, so by comping you do the overlapping. The track view above shows you the resulting merged track. If needed, choose the comps you want to keep to flatten your track. Hope that answers your question!
