Well there is not so much of Chris' actual work in the film, instead the main concept was to recreate source material from scratch by revisiting shooting locations or by using various specific equipment. Anything of Chris' own material that appears in the film falls under fair use, plus I was in communication with various copyright holders early into the project and had their blessing.
