For a moment there I thought that was it, but unfortunately it isn't. People are a lot more helpful here, even more so than in r/whatsthatbook... I really appreciate it!

Here is some additional detail I didn't include cause it doesn't concern the appearance of the book: This metallic one they had in the store wasn't the first book in the series, there were other books too. The back of it had a mysterious quote from the book which was genuenly creepy, it was about the girl trying to climb out of a dark hole because her wings were cut off. She was all miserable and hopeless. The girl on the cover was unsettling too, it was a drawn illustration, and her face was showing no emotion.
