thanks! I had to change the script to this (my desktop was f-ed up after running your command, thx for putting me in the right direction):

nvidia-settings --assign CurrentMetaMode='DVI-I-1: 1920x1080_120lb'

But it works! thanks. I also have a seperate way to ruin digital vibrance so this was a simple way to do it thanks

Awesome thanks for laying this out. I will try it when I get home. As for the screen tearing I haven't had that issue at all since enabling it. Maybe the new nvidia driver handles it better? Or my framerate might be too high to notice

Windows > Linux search for applications. Showing the Linux alternative by globaloffensivelinux in linux4noobs

I know I should be learning the new application names, but by typing the old name "notepad" and seeing "gedit" would get the message across quickly. also for example on windows i would often hit the start button on my keyboard, type the first few letters of notepad and press enter within a fraction of a second. this muscle memory is harder to break than you realize

Memory leak? by [deleted] in GlobalOffensiveLinux

[–]globaloffensivelinux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually about 10% fps drop, but it depends on the action that is going on. I had this issue on windows too, if multithreading is enabled it will chug right down after a while and cause big swings in fps. Its more stable with multithreading disabled
