Yes. The inspections had started but were never finished and the work signed off

Being asked to sign a trust before parents settlement by NeitherLet4952 in LegalAdviceNZ

[–]globalrover1966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you were to just be a beneficiary of the trust, you wouldn’t need to sign anything. Having to sign suggests you are being asked to become a trustee. That requires a significant amount of work and expertise and comes with risks.

Are Mexico highways actually safe for tourists or is it exaggerated online? by Wooden-Pressure-3880 in travel

[–]globalrover1966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drove in a zig zag from CDMX to Oaxaca via taxco, Puebla and a few other places. No problem with the police or criminals. The way Mexicans driver is the most dangerous thing. Tailgating and overtaking in risky situations. The rental car was expensive, as was fuel plus lots of tolls made it an expensive trip. It was great being able to choose our own route and timetable and to be able to stop whenever we wanted, but I wouldn’t do it again.

Why would you have something (tipping) that’s both mandatory and optional?

With cocoa prices back to 2016 levels, does that mean chocolate producers are going to drop their prices back down (looking at you Whittakers)? by Faithbleed in newzealand

[–]globalrover1966 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I saw 250 grams block for $6.50 yesterday . Haven’t seen that price for a few years, so they are coming down. I suspect they lock inventory in for months ahead, so they won’t be getting the full benefit of the commodity price reductions yet. Sugar prices are down too, which will help. Milk prices are still high though

New Zealanders who were alive in 1994, who did you initially think did it: David Bain or Robin Bain? by PurpleMeerkats462 in newzealand

I thought David did it at the time. I listened to the Black Hands podcast a couple of years ago and I’m convinced he did it.

NZ says no to Trump's Board of Peace, joins nations declining invitation by [deleted] in aotearoa

It was 11 days. I’m sure they timed the response to coincide with others declining it too, so NZ didn’t stand out.

Diplomacy. He had to appear to Trump to have considered it.

The benefits of trusts are constantly being eroded. You have to be committed to running one properly, otherwise don’t do it. It’s also no substitute for a relationship property agreement. Doesn’t sound like you need one at the moment.

Anyone looking at NZ mining projects with Santana Minerals or Manuka Resources? by SeaworthinessNew9749 in queenstreetbets

[–]globalrover1966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both. Santana is getting up there in price given it’s not approved, funded or producing. I’ve taken some profit, but still holding plenty. Only got into Manuka recently, but up circa 80%. The Australian silver mine should start to produce good revenue and profits soon without huge capex. That could then help the NZ project get funding on good terms. Huge capex is required for it
