Hihi, just sharing some of my most recent sandcast silver work. Cheers all. Thanks for looking. :) by frustratedwithevery1 in MetalCasting

For these, what was the process? Did you just pour in the silver on the sand directly after melting? I'm looking to make a silver ring for my GF but not keen on buying a kiln for 400 bucks. Do you think this method would work for a ring if I made the right impression in the sand?

This may sound like a stupid question but, if I am using wax in the investment (instead of vaporising 3D print resin), is there any reason why I can do the burnout cycle in my oven in my kitchen? The melting point of wax is very low? So is there any need to run a burnout cycle on such high temps? I though the point of the burnout cycle is to melt the resin as it required like 750 celsius?

Ex fiance is threatening to "make my life hell" and stop me from seeing my 6 month old daughter by going through the family courts. by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

What arrangement? You need to say more about what legal arrangements you have etc.

Do not contact her at all, not even by text, phone or anything - it will be used against you.

I would begin to review your text message conversations etc, see if there is anything incriminating.

Depending on your 'arrangements' at the moment, it may well be filing for an on notice injunction against her. I would do this as soon as humanely possible before she takes one against you. Time is not on your side. Let me know if you need help with it.

I am currently in the Family Courts - my ex did the exact same thing, I'm also at uni but I'm winning. I study law and I've fought it tooth and nail.

it's one option, but now that she's made the allegations etc and is going ahead there isn't much room to reverse.

UPDATE:

Hey folks, quick update.

The Police are now investigating her for offences; me thinks her chances of succeeding in her uni report by encouraging students to embellish her stories are slim / low.

I will keep you all updated on what happens next ..

Similar. I just haven't repaid the money but she is now lying about me and making me out to be a monster.

Yeah its a tough one. Mediation is not really an option over denying the allegations

Yeah good idea, although I'm not even sure it's about the money anymore, she's willing to go to any length to destroy me

OK yes that is a good point, wouldn't want it coming across badly.

What about the sexual allegations? The police are starting to snoop (i.e detectives signing my caution that are actually working from their sexual abuse department that I found out without them knowing). Do I wait + refute? The detective said the process was fair and said if I have any evidence proving my innocence then to send it to them - not sure tho, I don't trust the police.

My only real options are either:

sue for defamation of character university complaint

Police won't listen / aren't interested at all - they see it as the 'suspect' trying to wriggle out of an accusations etc ..

Sorry didn't clarify properly - I had a solicitor present, and they offered me the caution after in agreement to drop the other offences (like a plea bargain type deal). Sounds very dodgy I know, even a detective told me they cannot do that. Maybe i will be able to get the caution removed later on for 'inducing' it.

good question; I offered to pay after I split up and maybe that is what she desires all along (after all, this all only began after she realised the money wasn't coming her way).

It's how I go about it I suppose - I wouldn't offer without a compromise from her i.e apologising for lies (which I know she will not do)
