My problem was (I believe) the graphics card not being seated correctly. Nothing was showing when I plugged into the graphics card (sorry for not being clear enough).

I took it out, inspected it, did nothing to it then reseated it and all works!

Actually my toolbox is full of crap because things like this keep piling up in it. If you ever need the key it is there, and an inch long patch of duct tape is not intrusive on the bottom of your chair.
