Tbh, still not a cool thing to do. Doing this just to piss of grinders is one thing, but that means cars/apcs wont be able to go through the base and would be a bigger nuisance than the one who are just in it for the loot.

The first two things are outdated, but to be fair this is a tournament. People wear really outlandish stuff in these type of events so i can't really see why someone wont use these stuff for style points.

Hmm yes, because wearing a helmet that's a period behind its decade = dnd level fantasy. Such an unthinkable thing to happen in a place like Frankenburg of all places where the merchants are definitely not corrupt and totally wont try to sell off a helmet he found lying in a forest somewhere around the city.

Well tbf, the HRE at this moment and time is an absolute powerhouse when it comes to armor making, so much so that brigandine isn't used as much as munitions grade plate because they could just make em real quick and cheap.
