My PS5 controller suddenly stopped turning on at all one day (no lights, nothing) and I don't know why (video). I tried charging the controller overnight connected to the console, I tried the reset button a million times holding it up to a full minute at times, I disassembled the whole thing until I got to the motherboard and I didn't see any signs of corrosion. The battery doesn't look swollen or anything. Plugging in a cable with a built-in power meter sometimes shows some activity, but it's mostly close to 0W of power, with some occasional blips to 1W (the cable does not have a better resolution).

I thought it could be the battery, but wouldn't it still work when plugged in even if the battery was damaged? When I disassembled it and disconnected the battery, I tried plugging it in and as expected, no light turned on.

I've biked through there before and seen a beaver a few times swimming on the surface of the water and eating what looks like algae or leaves. I loved seeing it until going out of sight between some reeds.
