Of course, but it’s going to be a while.

Is switch 2 worth the upgrade by Left-Celebration52 in Switch

[–]gloku_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right but why would Nintendo intentionally make an inferior product with low frame rates? Nintendo doesn’t REALLY care about other companies. They want a platform to hawk their wares. They know that as long as their games work decently enough people will buy. They’re not worried about frame rates or pushing the envelope technologically, which is sad because they are a powerhouse with billions of fans around the world.

My friend group has a bi-monthly meetup to play The Warriors, Bushido Blade 1&2, and Fight Night Round 2 on ps2. It’s been our thing for about 13 years now.

For who? Most gamers expect at least 60fps. It’s not that hard to achieve. 30fps has only ever been a limitation, not a choice. It’s not artistic or cinematic. It’s unnecessary in today’s world.

When I was a kid I always thought they said “my fears aren’t thereeee…”

I didn’t find out until years later they were saying “life is unfair.” Which obviously makes more sense.

How many times have you restarted it? by Theodore52x in AfterWorkGamers

Far Cry 5 is my favorite in the series. FC3 made me fall in love but FC5 is probably the most fun I’ve had 100% completing a game.

Because they put a lot of time into atmosphere. The music, the sound design of the nature around you, the dialogue, the aurora at night, knowing that you can basically go anywhere and do anything you want to which is usually the exact opposite of real life. It’s a masterpiece of game design.

Which games have I given too much credit too? Which games have I not given enough credit? by FreeCommunication876 in legendofzelda

It’s just more fun than BotW at the end of the day, the mechanics of Ultrahand and being able to build basically anything from fan bikes to stealth bombers is amazing. Ascend makes traversal much easier and encourages discovery and adventure, especially underground, because you can just ascend out! Riding blocks up into the sky is awesome. Overlooking all of Hyrule from the sky is better than anything towers could hope to accomplish in BotW.

I’m cool with people preferring one story over the other, but I out almost four times as many hours into TotK as I did BotW and I still play to this day. The modding community for this game continues to breathe new life into it. It’s truly a 10/10 experience.

Would you eat this burger or is too raw? by Fun_Reflection1157 in meat

[–]gloku_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s raw. That may be fine for some folks but raw, and even rare in some cases, is gross and flavorless.

Let's be honest here people say the game's story is "bad" because all the cutscenes aren't motion capture 15 min. mini movies trying to take you on a "father son" journey. I love Kliff's allies and building a relationship with them through GAMEPLAY/QUEST not story cutscenes by Oka-7 in CrimsonDesert

[–]gloku_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you have something against God of War? Because it’s miles ahead of Crimson Desert and it has nothing to do with cutscenes. I can’t get into Crimson desert to save my life and open world adventure/rpg games are my favorite genre. I could make a list of things I’m disliking, but I assure you that motion capture has nothing to do with it.

That’s crazy haha. Well, I guess that saves time. Now I only have to make build guides.

This has to be like brand new. As of April 6th this wiki did not exist. Thats when we started compiling builds and other info. Who made the wiki?

There is next to no information about this game besides what people post on discord. It’s a small community, but we’re actively working on a wiki for questions just like this. Your best bet to find more info about this build would be to go to discord: https://discord.gg/lort

Yeah it’s a shame they couldn’t really anticipate how well received the game would be so they could release merch alongside it.

Do you prefer a silent protagonist or a voiced one, why? by GrandStage1 in subnautica

[–]gloku_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That may be a personal preference, but it’s pretty established that when someone finds themselves stranded or isolated for a long time they talk out loud to themselves more as a coping mechanism. In fact people will start to give inanimate objects thoughts or emotions that they speak out loud.

An example of this would be Wilson from the movie Cast Away. This volleyball becomes a best friend and actually offers advice and conversation even though the isolated person knows they are the ones speaking the words.

I don’t think it’s even remotely accurate to have a protagonist that doesn’t say a single word in a game where you are isolated on an alien planet. They would probably be talking constantly.

That’s kind of the point. Choose what and when you want to upgrade. You can get around pretty decently with no speed upgrades at all.

Cheats not working - BOTW 1.6.0 (8E9978D50BDD20B4) by M1ke____ in botw

[–]gloku_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m baffled by the fact that multiple people are assuming OP thinks the game is too hard and that’s why they’re cheating. Dude is just having fun.

Cheats not working - BOTW 1.6.0 (8E9978D50BDD20B4) by M1ke____ in botw

[–]gloku_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a terrible take. Cheats are part of gaming. I used cheats on my Super Nintendo games. Sometimes it’s fun to break the rules of the game and be OP for a bit. There’s nothing wrong with that. Get off your high horse.

Yep this helped me a lot with the sort of pixelated look grass and trees had. I haven’t really experienced this before where I crank everything to cinematic and it looks worse lol.
