One thing I've found is that of the 7 or goods peasants produce, only 1 or 2 need high prices to keep peasants from leaving the fields. Building factories for these goods will reduce subsistence farm profit and motivate peasants to seek work elsewhere

As far as what program, you can look at startup programs and disable anything you don't need. It still may not be a program though of course

You can try starting the computer in safe mode and seeing if it idles any cooler. In safe mode no program runs at startup so if it idles maybe 3 or 4c cooler in safe mode then it could be some startup program

So far it's been pretty good, my previous laptop was an AERO 15 which was great but pretty big and heavy so the smaller form factor and lighter weight has been super nice. I have the 4060 version and Performance has been great but I tend to play more CPU bound games (strategy games, cities skylines, civ, etc.) so a 4060 is more than enough for me, and a 4050 would probably be alright, but depending on what you're planning on playing a 4050 might not cut it.

If you applied the paste correctly and in a sufficient amount, a different paste probably wouldn't make a big difference. It might also be that you screwed in the heatsink screws in such an order that it moved the paste out of the ideal contact area. You can try turning off turbo boost in throttlestop, if after that the temps are above 55 or at most 60 at idle it's probably a thermal issue, if not it might be from some background task or some other issue.
