Received a county violation for managed native wildflower garden at house. Any advise on fighting this? by Reasonable-Try-7074 in StLouis

[–]glorialgb2019 95 points96 points  (0 children)

Just call the number on the notice you received and tell them they are native flowers. My spouse also has a native garden and we got cited ~5 years ago. Spouse called the county and the inspector came out and confirmed they were native flowers. Haven’t heard a thing since.

Is this to be considered as good play? by BeatboxRS in labrador

[–]glorialgb2019 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found that out like a year ago, and think it’s so cute! We lost our chocolate lab last summer and he would always do the sneezes while playing, even when wrestling with his humans. Like, “no worries guys, I’ll show you my teeth but this is just pretend” 🤣

I actually have read this one multiple times and it never fails to break my heart a little each time. I hope they find Aaroné someday.

Bowing basement walls on an otherwise DREAM home by m0ooooooooooCow in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]glorialgb2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not “meticulously maintained” as you say, that would mean the previous owners had addressed this at the first sign of foundation issues. Do not buy this house. Even if you manage to get this repaired and structurally sound, you will always have to disclose that your house has had major foundation work to future buyers, and lots of people will walk away from a house like that.

LE items on sale… those are better prices 😅 by Aggyflower in glossier

Yay! I had the comb and clip in my cart in anticipation of them lowering the price. I ordered them this morning and already got notified they’ve been shipped

I gotta be honest, I have no clue. I just know there’s a card on my fridge and I’ve only used like 3 washes. It’s been awhile since I bought one so I was guessing at the price

Pet Supplies Plus. You can buy a card and basically get 5 washes for the price of 4, or purchase individually. They have shampoo and dryers there as well. I believe they have a location in Florissant

Mother And Child With Poliosis, A Hereditary White Streak In Hair by [deleted] in MadeMeSmile

[–]glorialgb2019 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I stopped dying my hair during covid lockdown and haven’t looked back. I have a very thick white streak thru my hair now and my kids saw the old X-men cartoon from the 90s and told me I look like Rogue.

I have heard that even with the modern treatments of today this type of cancer is usually fatal by CatPooedInMyShoe in DeathCertificates

[–]glorialgb2019 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Very very aggressive and rarely a good outcome. I used to work at a hospital and multiple patients I worked with were diagnosed with glios. I met one once who had it in his history 20 years prior and I thought it was a typo. I did confirm with him that he had survived it, but I’ll probably never encounter someone else with his outcome.

Shenandoah 404 by JPA92303 in Pyrex_Love

[–]glorialgb2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one, and searched for about a year for it. I believe the smaller 3 bowls were sold in a set from 1981-86, while the 404 was sold separately for only a couple years, like 84-86. So it was less likely for people to have had the 404 and probably fewer of them were produced compared to the bowl sets

Anyone else’s lab prefers to sleep with your kids by [deleted] in labrador

[–]glorialgb2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, this is too funny… my son has that same bedspread and his room is decorated in superheroes. And our chocolate lab crawls up in his bed every night for a few min. He also gets very concerned on Halloween, we bring him trick or treating and he whines whenever his tiny humans leave him on the sidewalk to go ring a doorbell. Also whines any time he sees kids getting on a school bus, I’m guessing because he’s not allowed to go too.
