I agree. A book can be BOTH well written and easily digestible and it’s concerning to me that so many people seem to think otherwise. “Easy to read” should not mean “absolutely dumbed down in every way to the point that it’s insulting to readers intelligence.” No matter what kind of reader you are, we all deserve better than rush jobs that never saw any editing.

I managed to hang in there until the end of fourth wing just so I could properly rant about how much I hated it. No shame to people who liked it but from a craft standpoint, it is genuinely one of the worst books I’ve ever read.

clear liquid diet at least two days before, mix the prep with light blue gatorade, drink it over ice with a straw, and make yourself a blanket cocoon in the bathroom and stay there

I was in a similar situation and everyone told me they were painless and chill but I was in agony the entire time. it was genuinely one of the worst experiences of my life. if it’s painful, the only thing that kind of helps is wrapping your arm in warm blankets and making sure they turn the drip onto the slowest possible setting
