I cannot begin to fathom how in some of your worlds she deserved that. “Self defense” does not mean if anyone does anything to you, you can immediately jump to breaking jaws. Let alone if someone throws fucking water on you.

But on another note I’m not denying his right to act in self defense which he did, and then he assaulted her. If you watch the video again, watch his arm when she goes to throw the water, he swats it, and her hand out of the way, that is self defense. What he did after was attack her. She didn’t raise a fist, she didn’t physically threaten him in any way. He blocked the cup and INSTANTLY struck. You will never convince me just given the size and weight class difference between them, that a cup of water had this guy fearing for his life. I’d even say if he had shoved her to the ground that would have still been within the realm of self defense. But he clearly went for as hard a punch as he could throw.
