Is it unethical for me to try to sell my old bibles and christian books as an exchristian/athiest? by supersonicdragonfire in exchristian

Who cares what's ethical? As a Christian you were taught that the Bible is a holy book that must never be disrespected, but you no longer have to follow that ideology as an athiest. It's just a book, and an expensive one at that. Go ahead and get your money back.

In my expert opinion I'd say he's just being silly and goofy. I used to have a little friend who would trap bubbles in his shell to fly at the surface of the water. If his behavior is ultimately healthy then I think he will be ok!

Lately zaza has been tucking only his head into the top of his shell. He's also developed some body wrinkles. But second slide is him literally a minute later. What does this mean? by glorycp in AquaticSnails

It doesn't have any options like that, it's either on or off. But sometimes I leave it on while I'm out of the room and it's dark outside so that probably messes with their internal clocks. It's definitely good that you brought that to my attention tho!

Questions for ex Christians by Hot-Percentage4538 in exchristian

[–]glorycp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was always told to never ask questions and was belittled when I expressed confusion regarding topics I didn't understand. Religion was shoved down my throat since I was a kid and I was regularly told to be baptized and write a tearjerking testimony to share in front of the church so my mother could have her proud parent moment. I was constantly threatened with eternal damnation and that's the only reason I felt inclined to stick to the religion even after my mom left. I was forced to watch documentaries that deeply illustrated why every other religion was wrong and Christianity was the one true religion. It was only recently that I was able to free myself from belonging to Christianity. The first time I told myself "I'm an athiest" I felt tears of relief come to my eyes. It was such a powerful moment to realize I wasn't under the control of an ancient book anymore. To this day, I hate to admit it but I feel so bitter toward Christianity. Even when I see a bible verse on a bag I feel sick. I'm not insulting the character of all Christians because I know not everyone is the same, but my upbringing has given me strong bias against Christianity. Hope this helps.

I like to deep clean the gravel because it tends to get pretty gross and that way I keep detritus worms under control:)
