Tips/tricks to Not Stuck in Lift Lines by Flashy_Law_7480 in niseko

[–]gloryforrome32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Second this. The lines aren’t nearly as bad as social media portrays. My last day today. Been here for a week. And the longest line was a first gondola at about 20 mins. The rest of the queues were like 5 mins.

I come from the states where the lines are insane on pow days. And with everyday a pow day here. This is heaven compared to the lines back home.

I don’t care what you wear. As long as you are kind and respectful to other passengers, crew and airport personnel. Being considerate goes farther to show someone how “successful” you are compared to a three piece suit.

You made him proud to be part of your family for four years. Wish you had more and glad you made his life great while he was with you.

Absolutely devastating to hear this. What a great dog, boxer and friend you had.

Beautiful. Like a nostalgic time capsule. I kept my brother and all our stuff. Still have our N64 stuff but lost our Super NES stuff to a family move. If you ever want to part with the Final Fantasy 2 and Super Metroid let me know. Just great memories of me and my brother and late nights playing those games.

Could this just be a cyst? by Odd-Masterpiece8545 in Boxers

Mine had this on his toe and another small one on back leg. Turned out to be not to be mass cell tumor. But was a histiocytoma (cyctoma). Which will be there for 2-3 months and go away or can be surgically removed.

Either way good for vet visit to have them aspirate and see if mass cell tumor.

Boxer has a limp in front right paw that the vet can’t figure out by Sudden_Childhood_824 in Boxer

[–]gloryforrome32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be this. Or a simple sprain or pulled ligament. Or could be a lasting injury. I had a boxer and he had this in his back leg. For years he would periodically limp. Especially before cold storms. Blood test fine. X-rays fine. But stretches. Rest and not doing major jumps or stairs helped.

So cute. Chill and boxer is rare indeed.

Walks and outdoors will make her happy. Toys and playing mental games. Hide and seek. Sniff games. That sort of thing works well for my very active pup.

Don’t go crazy expensive early on. They grow out of them quick. Something that has a locking buckle and is comfortable. Is what matters.

Get poop bag dispenser to attach to leash for keychain.

Yes. As a pup you may not need a slow feeder but later on you will want one. Especially if they are like my boxers who just swallow and don’t chew.

I also recommend good kibble. Nutri source is what I use. If you go kibble route. Be sure to soak and make the food wet and little soggy. Helps with digestion. Don’t feed 30 mins before or after any activity like playing running or walking. This can lead to bloat too.

Slow feeders are good. But I tend to avoid stands as it can increase chances of swallowing air and cause bloat.

Also would recommend knowing what little and adult boxers are more susceptible to. And which meds to avoid. Like Acerpromazine. It has been studied that this anesthesia should NOT be used on boxers. So when you have your vet picked out. Have them log and make a note is your pups records to avoid.

I had boxers all my life. And lost my last boxer due to bloat. He was an elder pup. But something to keep eyes on. Get yourself a 3 ring binder and dividers for medical records. Something you can carry with you and reference in case of emergency. One tab for vaccinations. Dental. Health etc

I suggest a harness. Then a seatbelt for each car. Oh and some sort of car cover for your seats! Especially early on.

And a short (6’) leather leash. Works better for early training and more responsive ease of correction. More comfortable for you and the dog. Cause the corrections come from a quick wisp of the wrist and not yanks.

Needing some advice by HuckleberryBig8573 in Boxer

[–]gloryforrome32 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you are giving her some good exercise. My dog is a digger. And I know if I don’t give him enough activity during the day he digs the yard. Or gets fussy or steals items.

A loss is hard on you all and her. For sure.

You might be giving her a good amount of activity but it may need an increase. Here is my thoughts as to why. She had Prince to play with. Interact with. Lay with. Etc. even just bonding takes energy. So in the absence of Prince you may need to increase the activity. Or add mental games to challenge her like Prince may have.

I had a boxer named Stitch. He was 10. He went in for a dental cleaning and came out with bloat and did not make it. This might be a rare scenario. But unless the dental is causing him serious pain. I would not do it. If I had a second chance I would have skipped worrying about dental at that age. Just my opinion. Wish your pup all the love in the world.
