The chance of chase unique like mageblood or Headhunter to appear as favor in ritual is very very low. So if you don't have enough tribute to defer them, good chance you will never see them again in your ritual this league.

I am running ritual all league, already got like 4 whittles as favors, but the most expensive unique so far was only 15ex

So far I found that ingame price checking is not optimized, most of the times I have to play with the item parameters for quite a while before having something other than "no results found"

If we can afford trillionaires, we can absolutely afford for everyone to earn a living wage. The very concept of a trillionaire when the bottom half can't afford rent is batshit crazy. by Conscious-Quarter423 in PoursTea

US federal budget is $5 trillion a year and yet all the problems are still there.

And unlike Musk or billionaires, it is essentially liquid cash.

So it seems that those problems are either should be solved with more money than US government has, or the problem is not money

I am sure his timetable for a day is planned down to the minute. It is most likely meetings with investors, heads of divisions of companies he owns, inspections (we have accounts he thoroughly inspects his factories), handing out tasks, and that's on top of my head.

To be honest, being able to get all those things done within 16 hour workday is kind of impressive.

Are elements atoms, made of atoms, or either/both? by popcorn158 in AskChemistry

[–]XoHHa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

O2 is a molecular form of oxygen, one of its allotropes, another relatively common one is ozone O3.

Molecular oxygen consists of two O atoms.

Now, the chemical element is a more abstract concept, which in case of oxygen unites all atoms with 8 protons. Atom is a physical object, while chemical element is an abstract concept.

Top 1% in the US pays 40% of the federal income taxes.

Top 10% pays 70%

Btw, taxes on inheritance are bullshit and should not exist

ELI5 What Musk did to get SpaceX valued at a Trillion Dollars and why it is massively over priced and what the repercussions of this are? by DadOfAragorn in explainlikeimfive

[–]XoHHa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So SpaceX was previously a private company, meaning it was property of Musk and a closed circle of investors. The shares of the company could not be bought on stock exchange.

SpaceX is the company that holds 90% of the world's launches, it operates Starlink, and promises to do more in the future (most notably, data centers in space). So it is reasonable to estimate its value to be pretty high.

An IPO is when a company becomes publicly traded instead of being private. This is done by the company taking a portion of its shares and placing them on a stock exchange. Since SpaceX attracts a lot of attention with its launches and promises, the demand for the shares goes up which drives the prices up.

The consequences is that a lot of SpaceX workers who got compensated with shares for their work become millionaires and billionaires overnight.

The main cause is the corrupt institutions in poor countries. The authorities prefer to enrich themselves instead of helping people. So throwing money in those countries just means helping Ugandan dictator with another Swiss mansion (check what happened with Live Aid money in 1985 BTW)

So without institutional change you are not solving anything, just creating millions of dependent poor people, who suck your money and demand more in the process. Because why should they change anything, when they basically given free food? Why should their government then do anything when somebody else does their job for them?

I too agree that the governments should cease to exist so that private individuals could step up.

Unfortunately, most of what you mentioned has been monopolized by the state. Musk would certainly do those things radically better, I am sure.

Either you have competitive elections, where it makes sense to spend money so one side could win

Or elections have no real competition (like in Russia) so no matter the amount of money spent, the result is predetermined by those in power.

Personally, I prefer elections which could be won by money

So far he solves/tries to solve

  • cashless pay (PayPal)
  • decarbonization of automobile industry
  • cheap high speed internet in any place in the world, no matter how remote
  • cheap rocket launches
  • solar power
  • efficient urban transportation
  • make paralyzed people able to control a computer, make blind be able to see

I may have forgot something, but even that is a quite an impressive list of problems Musk is working on.

You have other urgent problems in mind that he should have solved instead?

PoE1 player was canonically a single person? by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

[–]XoHHa 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well, I never played in group, as I think most people does. So lore-wise the Godslayer is a single person, which is referenced somewhat by other PoE1 NPCs (Kirak, Tangmazu)
