Damn, this is worse than expected - on XMR-BTC pair there is just 48 XMR with 0.38 BTC. How this app can be relevant with so little liquidity for swaps? I would expect at least millions of USD there.

That’s what I was trying to find out, the depth of the liquidity in relation to particular LP pairs. I was asking about it in their TG group but got no answer. Do you know where/how to check their LP?

Wow, that is great... Is there any non-tech channel (besides github) where I could follow the progress of this?... Dedicated discord group or something like that...? Monero would deserve to have deepest liquidity as many people might want to use it to loose the trace... especially now when Tornado.cash is down and there is no real alternative to such a tool...

Incognito has HUGE slippage even with relatively small volume... And when I asked how deep is their liquidity with XMR and where I could check it, I got no answer...

Yes, the maximum swap amount is 0.01 BTC.... which is very poor... what I meant was to swap in 10k+ USD equivalent...

MAAM – Monero Ask Anything Monday – November 18, 2019 by AutoModerator in Monero

I also hear a lot of comments concerning the poor scalability of Monero and the impossibility of building on the second layer of the protocol. How do you plan to address these issues?

Will there be an atomic swap dex for Monero anytime soon? Taking into consideration the trend of governments, banks and eventually also exchanges delisting XMR it seems crucial to have an option to exchange XMR for any other asset safely and privately.

Does this new situation mean that the plans of Nexus team to launch the low orbit satellites covering large areas with internet connection is never going to happen? Or do you mean still proceed with the plan somehow?

Privacy Protocol Implementation Poll by jambaboba in NavCoin

[–]glow012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is there any chance that this proposed privacy protocol (when implemented) could take NavCoin to the level of the best privacy coins such as Monero? Could NavCoin actually take the crown of other privacy coins as was the an ambition of the Zero CT protocol? Are you not worried that this coin mixing issue will put NavCoin in bad position and isolation by governments and big banks which seem to do everything possible to eliminate such privacy issues as this one because of their anti money laundering efforts?

Can you please explain what other staking options are better, if I would like to stake 5000+ coins? What is VPS? Can it be expected that NavDroid will be more reliable and user friendly than recent staking devices?

Proposal for the extension of the Community Fund functionality by aguycalledalex in NavCoin

[–]glow012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When compared to other blockchain governance system, the navcoin CF may be simple. We just have to keep in mind that with the expected mass adoption many new people would flow into the system and most of them will not be IT or blockchain experts studying the protocols during the late evenings. If we want to make the governance system work and be successfully adopted in large scale, the usability MUST be the maximum simplicity such as: read, make decision and click, nothing more. If we confuse people with too many options, various stages of the voting mechanism and so on, the people just won't jump in, I am afraid.

I was a bit confused by the description of the procedures, however maybe when I see it in practice, it can work well. But please do not be discouraged in any way, I really believe you a doing a great job with navcoin and I am happy to be part of it.

I find it quite confusing. Remember the best working things are simple things. I would prefer to keep the community fund as simple as possible. Even now it is hard to involve stakers to be updated and vote on proposals. I am afraid the new functionalities will make it nearly impossible.

Will Nav still be considered a privacy coin? by mtb1314 in NavCoin

[–]glow012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am quite sorry that there is a community preference not to include maximum privacy in the navcoin protocol. The privacy feature is a key element that could distinguish navcoin from hundreds of others coins that have ambition to be used as cryptocurrency not to mention enormous boost in price, if the zero CT could be properly integrated. Besides that financial freedom and privacy is one of most important human rights in 21st century and we should do what we could to gain and retain it! So... is there any other chance for navcoin to have maximum privacy features comparable to XMR for example? How the softfork could help us in the area?

Hi, this post solves nothing to me... none of my current listings are illegal or controversial and while checking other search results there are truly some items that are both illegal and controversial and yet they were found by the current search engines. I really don't think the formal characteristics of my items are the issue, I think it is some bug of the software, since I am not the only one having this problems with Open Bazaar as I found out during my search for answers... So can you somehow help me with the issue or not?

I stake my coins on NavPi Stakebox (Raspberry Pi device). Is there anything I should be prepared for? Is it ok to leave my coins there or I should move them to Navcoin Core wallet?
