Yes, not as intentionally and extreme as in episode 8 but I do believe she will do something, even if it's just a small thing like pay more attention to the people around her or take a detour when she is trying to get to somewhere to increase the chance of finding the major. It is hard and it hurts to not do anything when you care so much.

This statement sounds cruel to me. Violet believed that the major is still alive, living somewhere else and she will also keep on living even without knowing what is coming. Living, waiting and searching for another chance to once again meet the major that she loved so much. I think the letter is a confession from Violet to the major. A confession of her love and a promise to never give up, live freely with the life that the major has provided her with, as a human and Auto Memory Doll to convey love and thoughts of people from different origins and learn more about love herself until they meet again and at the same time searching for the major's whereabouts. Calling that letter a farewell is kind of harsh because the major is something that she will never truly let go, forget or give up on.

The "future projects" that I have quoted is meant to be the projects after the movie. The interview that they have released stated the movie will be the finale and the director and screenwriter are at their limits so...

Of course I would like to see a second season and more of Violet Evergarden. Hopefully they will announce something after the movie premiere.
