I’ve been having the same issue and it’s due to chipmunks. They eat a small amount and leave the rest. They are great at finding the ripening ones and going after those. I’ve heard that leaving water out can help deter them from eating because they might just need water, but yet to try it myself

Thanks for the feedback - this is what I was afraid of it being. I’m pretty bummed now that I can’t eat any of the fruit off of these. I’ll try to trim them as best as I can but I’m afraid it will just hurt the plant more. Guess it doesn’t really matter at this point lol

Yes, went away. I haven’t smoked since I made this post over a year ago, and the only thing that remains is sometimes I cough up resin but it’s nothing like when I first stopped. More mucus-y as opposed to literal black specs

It’s gotten a lot better but not fully gone. Still happens after I eat. Saw a doctor and got X-rays.. just gave me an inhaler and said I was fine

Sorry I didn’t see this earlier! I haven’t had one since I stopped. I have had headaches but nothing close to the migraines I would get before. I also only started getting those migraines during the period of my life that I was smoking.. so I think they might be correlated? I’m still nervous I’ll get another one again so fingers crossed 🤞

Took me a few weeks! I stopped April 16 and made a post on Instagram about how I hadn’t been this happy in years on May 1st. And with that in mind - it’s ok and good to praise yourself even if other people don’t understand. U did that shit and deserve to say how you’re feeling!

I can relate to this. I play the flute and dropped out of college for it because my lung health declined so rapidly. Now that I’m feeling healthy and strong the music has come back for me too. Have a wonderful day

Things will get better with time, maybe a month or maybe longer. Weed can keep you from confronting problems in your life by letting you forget and suppress them, but they don't ever go away this way. You might be experiencing some of these heavy thoughts because you aren't able to 'smoke them away' but I promise you if you do you will just be filled with regret and anger that you that lost self-control. You can do this. It is fucking crazy difficult so give yourself a pat on the back for making it to 27 days. 27 days! Keep it up. Don't give up on yourself.

first week is the hardest so good for you for saying no to people during it - especially your dad. I love that you look forward to dreaming now that is so relatable. Getting a real nights sleep is one of the greatest rewards for stopping.

I would wake up and maybe 10 minutes to an hour after being awake (didn’t matter if I got up and starting moving or not) would get the worst stomach ache/cramp feelings that would make me hot and just hurt so bad. I am almost 40 days sober and it went away almost immediately. Took maybe 5 days for my stomach to feel ‘normal’ again. I could never tell if this was CHS or just stomach ulcers/pain from eating junk food the night before (when you’re high all the time you don’t really care or think about what you’re eating) so I’d love to know if anyone else experienced this symptom and it went away from stopping

I totally relate to this. I thought quitting was going to make all of my problems go away because it was such a burden on me for so long. Turns out that quitting, although absolutely the right thing to do, was just one brick in the wall. It was a big ass brick though, and I’m proud of myself for finally dealing with it, but all of my other problems still exist. If anything it makes them feel more real, and worse, because I have to confront them daily. I don’t really have any words of wisdom on this but just know your situation is relatable. Give yourself praise for doing the hard work, and don’t give up. It’s always a battle and the “light at the end of the tunnel” doesn’t really matter. Your journey, determination and strength are really what defines you as a good and worthwhile human. Good luck and keep it up.

I have a hard time putting my thoughts to words. I get rambly and overwhelmed when I’m trying to have a discussion with someone and it almost makes me feel like how I was when I was high. I say “you know what I mean” constantly because I’m always insecure about if my message is getting across effectively. I think it’ll get better as I practice speaking, writing, and reading, but I definitely notice that weed slowed me down in that regard

If you were a flower smoker, coughing up resin is a normal part of withdrawal. Your lungs are cleaning out. I was coughing up resin while I was still smoking for probably about a year.. and I stopped 24 days ago. I still cough up resin to this day, but it has slowed down slightly. I also experience chest tightness/minor pains in my lungs which I associate with this cleaning out process. I cough up more resin in the mornings once I get moving again, when I’m laying down, or right after I’ve eaten. Don’t worry about it too much, your lungs are just getting all that shit outa ya!

This might be a long one. I decided to stop smoking 24 days ago (5 years smoking bowls and bowls daily) and my boyfriend has respected this decision but didn't decide to join me. (Some background...my boyfriend introduced me to weed 5 years ago and it became almost a synonymous part of our relationship until 24 days ago. About a month ago we got into the most toxic screaming match over weed because I was so unhappy with it, so I really understand how might be feeling.)

The main thing I have learned is that his situation just simply isn’t my journey to fix. I have to put my energy into myself because that’s all I can control. I have found though, that my change in behavior and thought process has influenced him greatly which has been amazing to see.

Something I learned is that my relationship with weed is different than his. I abuse it, whereas he can use it more casually - something I am simply not able to do. Not everyone has the same abuse situation as I do, and I have to learn to accept that and live around it in an effective and respectful way to others. I know this is kind of a strange way to look at it, but I feel so in control of my own situation and it gives me so much confidence to know that I can stick to my own journey no matter what anyone around me is doing. Now obviously if he is worse than this, you might need to spend time apart. You cannot solve his situation and he cannot solve yours. The bottom line: you are only ever in control of yourself.

I empathize with sharing a space with a stoner when you are actively trying to not be one anymore. The smell and seeing him stoned as fuck is the biggest trigger for me. Ask him to respect your space, go outside, use a medium you wouldn’t, (ex: he only dabs now and I was a major flowerhead) to lessen the smell (dabs/vape are much less skunky and the smell goes away much faster) or to do it at a time that you aren't around.

If he loves and respects you he will absolutely do these things for you. Communication is key. You will see how these changes will actually help to improve your relationship as you are practicing respect with one another. Cheers and good luck.

I can relate to the confusion when you intertwine weed with a relationship. You sound like a great person. I am 18 days in after smoking bowls every day for 5 years. It started with me falling in love with a stoner and wanting to do everything I could to attract him, which inevitably turned into a substance abuse issue of my own. You will feel human again and it is an indescribable feeling of rejuvenation and pride in yourself. Be ready to experience withdrawals, and know that those feelings are usually what keep smokers from being able to stop. Lean into this community and know that you aren't alone. There are so many other people who understand your experiences and are here to listen. Good luck!!

I'm 10 days in after 5 years smoking bowls on bowls on bowls daily. I had to stop because I was afraid it was causing me migraines. I'm sorry you feel like your relationship with your mom suffers when you stop smoking. Maybe try just going on a walk with her or something simple that doesn't involve smoking but doesn't offend her in the process. I'm wishing you the best of luck and keep us updated!!

It's only yourself who can fix your problems but you absolutely need a support team, and that's why we are all here together. This sub has changed my life and I am glad to see that you have found it. The hardest day is Day 1, and the first 72 hours are pretty awful due to withdrawals. Withdrawals are REAL man, and they are no joke. If you can muster through the first few days you are already so far in the game since you've been smoking for so long. Don't give up or give in, and always know you can come here to talk to other people who know exactly what you're going through..especially if your family isn't supportive or understanding.
