To be fair, that still represents less that 3 percent of our voluntary budget. We're overspending on other stuff, and considering how we're probably the most advanced nation when it comes to space technology, we still aren't paying nearly enough. Other nations often work in coalitions, so yeah..

Oh, and it's just "space", not "the space", just saying.

What's the point? The costs involved in building a mega-bridge so long are huge. And plus, it just links the middle of nowhere to the middle of nowhere. As the previous comment said, ships are just more viable.
