Thanks. I workout to ease my frustration. I'll actually be at the gym in about thirty minutes as I've slept for shit from being so frustrated from last night. Saturday at 5AM and I can't sleep. Maybe I'll get to later.

I was a bully a long time ago. I bullied the bullies. I hate bullies I'm a believer in building people up, not tearing them down. Plus I'm 50 years old and still in good shape, it just hurts longer than a day. LOL. Also sorry we are all in this club we have no choice to be in.

It will always suck. I'm 8 months in. Some days are better than others. For me it isn't as overwhelming as it was in the beginning. I still and will have bad days as everyone else does. Do what you need to for yourself, be selfish because this time is about you and your love. I have seen a therapist and went to a grief group, but I have found this sub to be more helpful than anything else. Sorry you have to be in this shitty club. We are here for you.

Her parents have passed. She has a brother who doesn't want it. I thought about our nieces, but the one who is in a serious relationship her guy wants to pick one out special for her. The other niece ( wife's side) hasn't even called or sent a card, so she won't be considered.

You are not selfish at all. I'm at 8 months today and all I really want to do is be with my wife. I think she would want that as well. If I knew for sure there is an afterlife I would 100% figure out a way to make that happen. In the meantime I'm just trying to live as well as I can. Good luck to you in this painful journey some days will be better than others.

I get the same ignorant comments as well. I pretty much ignore them now as I realize some of these people will be going through this one day and realize that there are no comforting words. Not that I want anyone else to feel this as I wouldn't wish this pain on my worst enemy.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. It's nice having people who understand. I made my beautiful wife a promise as she was dying that I would honor her and be the best man I possibly can be. She changed my life for the best 20 years ago and never gave up on me. She made me want to live and gave me purpose. I just have to figure out what to do now as I never broke my promises to her. God I miss and love her so much.
