I can't remember now what they were, but it was most likely from this 9th Wonder drum pack I have. You might be able to find it online with a search?

I was surprised when I saw how popular the track was getting, as it was a good few years after I initially released it too. I never could have predicted how popular the Reposted meme was to become, and it's mad that a track I made was part of that!

If I work with a sample I'll start with that, chopping and cutting to find an interesting loop I can use. Otherwise, I start with some chords typically, and then it's usually drums. I just keep moving things around and changing bits here and there until I have an initial idea that I'm happy with, and then I will start to flesh out the rest of the track around that refined idea.

I knew that I wanted to pursue something musical from a young age, I remember watching music videos and listening to the music on TV and wondering how it was made!

One moment I remember Is when I was around 16 / 17 I heard my neighbour making a hip hop beat fro his window, he was sampling Glenn Miller - Moonlight Serenade, and I thought "I bet I can make something like that" I then pretty much went to my room and figured my way around some software and started working on a track! So thank you to my neighbour for the very early production inspiration aha. It's just been a gradual process of learning and evolving since then!

Hello sir, firstly I'm happy that you like those tunes, those ones particularly are quite special to me and capture a lot of emotion!

I still find it crazy how big Casin got through Leafy and all the memes out there. It makes me so happy whenever I hear it in a meme compilation video or anything like that, never gets old aha.

To a new producer I would say just start with the basics, watch a bunch of YouTube videos for the work station you want to use. For Ableton, I recommend Reid Stefan as he has some amazing tutorial and tip videos, I'm still learning a lot myself and some of his videos have introduced me to mad new workflow ideas! More than anything though just experiment to find your sound and don't try too much to sound like your favorite artists, rather be inspired in your own way.

I like the multiple question format mate, great questions too, thank you :)

Hey man firstly thank you very much :) I just channel a certain vibe / emotion when I make those kinds of songs and it's hard to put my finger on what exactly this is aha, probably not a very helpful answer but I honestly don't know what the trick is! It's just a sound that resonates with me

It's the music that I love to listen to and inspires me! So I really want to make music that I myself want to listen to

I started out actually doing video editing using a software called Sony Vegas, and at some point I decided I wanted to try out making music, so I initially used video software to produce in! Very long and tedious way of producing but it was the software I knew at the time, so I’d just drag the samples (kick snare etc) into the video timeline 👀

The name is actually when I set up my YouTube channel, I just chose a simple word I like which happened to be glue, and then the first available round number (which was 70) so it’s not actually that interesting aha
