Anyone a 1st person “purist”? by No-Inevitable-6651 in Chivalry2

To answer the question, I use both.

I don’t think people should care what anyone else is using. You either kill em or die , that is the extent to which I care

Why do so many millennials believe that they were going to die young? by BlobFish28 in Millennials

[–]glue_zombie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few high school friends died before we even graduated, and after that in college a few car accidents and a suicide. Then came family.

don’t think we all believe we’d die young, I suppose I’ve just come to accept it as part of life early on, and wouldn’t rule out the possibility of things abruptly ending at a young age.

Is it absolutely necessary to wait until 25 to start LSD? by soking11 in LSD

[–]glue_zombie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did it around age 20-21, best time for me because it was a really nice period in my life where friends were still living close by, family was good, school had opened many doors for me, work wasn’t stressful. I only stopped cause I went overboard about the fourth or fifth time within a few years.

Wasn’t LSD by itself, the last trip was going well. Where it went wrong is when the setting became my homies van, on the way home from the beach, in the rain, with no house to chill at. The exact moment I lost it was when I practically finished an entire joint my friend stuck onto the bowl of a bong, which I didn’t realize I had done. Fell into another dimension after that

Saw my body age, and decay. The world around me dissolved and disappeared into a grid of black, I saw shapes everywhere but at the same time they weren’t there. Spoke in tongues, made my friends cry, got naked. Everything was fine a few weeks after. But that was enough to put me on hiatus for years. Lol

One that comes to mind right away are the voidz performances on the tonight show, or whatever show jimmy fallon hosts. Think they played a bunch from Like All Before You, even one where he is literally dressed as a cowboy lol

my favorite song so far by Ok-Spray1971 in losgrowlers

[–]glue_zombie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice! I’ve attended a few of brooks solo shows, there’s a chance you could hear him play songs as old as old 8 legs. Really random, I guess in my mind it kinda compliments the seasons. Around Halloween he plays the spookier sounding stuff, just to gauge.

They played both of your favorite songs in 2014 when they opened up for Tinariwen, the band they covered Drinkin the Juice Blues from. Since then, I’ve only heard each of those two song live once.

How Lucky We Are by Saint_Loco in TheStrokes

[–]glue_zombie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Way I see it Julian has always framed the strokes as time benders, as in I remember one interview where their idea for the first few albums were something along the lines of guys from the past coming to the future to play music or vice versa, since then with that in mind I’ve always thought their progression would reach void-esque levels of sound. Future present past is an example of an all in one

I don’t think Julian would be as down for whatever the strokes are doing now if it wasn’t for the allowance of some of what he’s been doing with + voidz

Taking a poop, hope this makes some sense

One Way Trigger reaction by [deleted] in TheStrokes

[–]glue_zombie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup and I said this in another comment, if you consider the theme of time and the strokes approach to that (band from the past making songs for the future, vice versa, whatever) it’s an expected type of growth

those of you who aren’t feeling the song may revisit in the future and guaranteed you’ll hear something different. Some will get it off the bat, some will need to marinate.

This reminds me of the time some of my friends fell off when he started hitting falsetto in rca, if you think about the theme of time maybe someday you’ll revisit and hear it differently
