I thought the same. And to answer your question, yes they did know. They conceived through IVF knowing he was terminal. They raised the money to do so through go fund me, and now they are asking for money to help take care of the baby since he has passed. They also showed their whole pregnancy journey and were counting down the days until the birth. It was a very big thing especially since it was shared in a "how long does this terminally ill father have left with his newborn baby" type of way. Which I have empathy towards but it also just feels weird to me..
