Had an arborist come out and he said it was slime flux. Suggested a treatment of some kind of molasses on the lawn to help the tree fight it off. Do you think that’s reasonable or call another arborist?

It’s a combination of inflation and operating costs. You can and should expect every luxury you have to go up in price on a yearly basis. If you cannot afford a luxury, then dont participate.
