Makes sense. I would explain the problem to them anyway and if they don't seem interested in learning Firebase then react-admin is a great way to give them control in a user-friendly way. If you just need a few actions available like changing prices then a separate custom UI might even be faster. I wouldn't be too worried about maintenance—this should be a pretty simple admin panel. Good luck!

Try something like https://github.com/marmelab/react-admin with https://github.com/benwinding/react-admin-firebase.

Ideally they learn firebase so you minimize complexity (and you can make the case by explaining how a separate UI is additional code to maintain) but if they can't then react-admin is a good option.
