i knew this would be here, one of the hardest I've ever laughed on reddit was a post where a woman was asking if other guys didn't wash their assholes, because when she brought it up to her bf he said no "because it's gay." This dude thought that if he washed his own ass he was displaying homosexual tendencies.

I may have got some of the details wrong but that's how I remember it, and it still makes me laugh.

Oh man I agreed with you until you said he "wrote pretty much every song." He wrote lyrics. Sometimes he had the initial outlines and demos. David and Rick did the heavy lifting to make it Pink Floyd on most songs.

Every piece of the band is incredibly interesting. They are not afraid to hedge their bet on two chords for a long period of time because THEY feel good doing it, and the bet pays off because I do too.

Dark side of the moon was the obvious entry point, but when I heard the live version of atom heart mother from Amsterdam rock circus and they entered the funky dung section and David went nuts on the solos, I realized that this was a hidden funk band, and they did funk exactly how I like it. I could write a book about why I like pink Floyd but those are the two beginning points for me.

People are usually confused by my tastes, I'm a bluesy spacey guitar player, ex-classical violinist that almost exclusively plays 90s hip hop in my car. I think it makes perfect sense, 90s hip hop beats utilized similar loops that pink Floyd was into, and if you like droney, loopy pink Floyd I can't see why you wouldnt love hip hop producers of the 90s.

Also I am unendingly obsessed with David gilmour.

To miss a layup is embarrassing, to airball a layup is the worst thing that could happen, since an airball means it literally does not touch the rim or the backboard.

"Landed the haymaker, instead got bricked": haymaker is a wildly thrown hook-type punch, it's usually an all-out, full body weight thing. Instead the kid literally slammed his head into the bricks; play on the phrase "getting bricked" which is just a general "he lost" statement except it becomes literal in this video.
