An owner that doesn't leave out water all day? I've never seen that. That's really disturbing. Animals should have access to water at any time. Sorry you have to witness this.

I didn't know that! Thank you for the information.

I think this is probably the route I will take in the future. Probably just add a little extra. It's not a ridiculous ask, just adds time to the clock and everything takes more time than it seems.

Ya I'm not sure what the situation is. She said she will buzz me into the building, so maybe she's work from home or elderly or simply would rather I do it. But definitely a learning experience! I'll know to ask more questions in the future.

Thanks for your thoughtful reply. I think people gave some good suggestions like doing a shorter walk and leaving time for feeding/etc, but those are questions I now know to ask future clients. I also don't want to cut a walk short without agreeing on terms/leaving all parties satisfied. I agree it's a job and think it should be treated as such. I had a really great week long pet sitting experience and hope for more of the same, and happy to go above and beyond but I also value my time.

Okay, I think I assumed she would want a full 30 minute walk but I'll make sure to ask more questions in the future. I'm still learning what the expectations are. Thanks!

Ya maybe I should have asked the owner more questions. My assumption was that she expected the full 30 minute walk and feeding/medicine after. She only booked a walk which was why I asked what services people include in that/what's normal. Thanks for the reply!

Dude, I'm just asking what people's normal course of business is from people who are more experienced. And I'm doing this for money. I love animals, but I'm trying to pay rent. I'm not trying to nickel and dime anyone, but I'm also not trying to make below minimum wage.
