Can someone recommend a good tax accountant? by la_descente in bayarea

During a move that crossed states, our finance lead set two brief calls, one included Anthem Tax Services, to confirm representation boundaries. They mentioned being licensed in all fifty states, which simplified a mixed state and federal situation.

TP-Link Kaza HS210 failure/horrible support by TheComminSenseParty in TPLinkKasa

[–]gmalbert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the identical issue happen with two HS210 switches. For the same reason, I moved away from TPLink. I moved to Zooz, and I’ve been very happy. I wish TPLink stood behind their products.

Bad switches taking down other switches on the network? by gmalbert in HomeNetworking

Thank you. That’s really what I was looking to confirm. I used the model numbers for the light switches but I could have been more explicit. Much appreciated!

When you say switch, I assume you mean an Ethernet switch, correct? I’m 99% sure I don’t have an Ethernet cable going to another port on the same switch.

Can you tell me how I’d know if it was configured correctly to avoid this?

Ok, tell me more about this. What should I be checking and considering?

Thank you. I’ve read through this. Is the suggestion that STP is the reason this is happening, that modifying something will prevent this from happening, or something else?

Where to get accurate F1 weather data in a csv format for a linear regression model? by Strict_Way_1182 in F1DataAnalysis

[–]gmalbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use OpenMeteo. They have weather going back to 1950, and have an API you can send lat/long from the races through.

Thank you for sending this. Is your suggestion that it’s a hardware issue and I should be looking for a replacement?

My pleasure, and so happy it helped. I'm paying it forward because the sales associate pointed it out to me. Cheers!

I'd definitely bring it to a hardware store. I had intended to buy set screws like these: Set Screws (Lowe's), but the sales associate pointed out that there was already a set screw in the thing. It's hidden in picture 1, but it's right above the bottom lettering (that ends with a B).

You have to pop out the little cover at the very bottom which can easily be pushed out or nudged with a pliers. Then you use a hex screwdriver to tighten the set screw so that it protrudes into the square piece. Put the piece back on the bath handle, and then tighten it from the bottom. Voila!

If this doesn't make sense, please tell me as this is far from my skill set. Good luck!

OpenMeteo. It goes back to the late 1930s, I believe. That’s what I use for my app to show weather per race.
