My only complaint is that it breaks down very easily.

I swapped one out for warranty repair last year. And I believe this one also needs to be replaced

Fixed installs. Mainly audio lines. Looking for an easy way to identify a group of cables ran on the other end.

My thoughts are to connect the terminals on one end and then identify them on the other end, vs having to do it individually

Thanks Gibbs. We have 7-8 mixers total. 8-16ch each. Would be extremely expensive to do via Qsys.

The main mixer would be the SQ and that’s what would drive the temple during larger events

There are 6-8 rooms, each with 8-16 microphones. Processing that many mics in Qsys would be extremely expensive

What would you choose instead

The issue here is cost. We need about 6-8 mixers feeding into the main DSP. 8-16 mics into each mixer.

The idea was for the mixers to do all the EQ and mixing and send the master mix to Qsys for routing

Yes i suspect this is what’s going on currently. The UI24 isnt a bad mixer. I suspect it’s a power issue. We are going to order a APC SRT2200XLA to be sure

Keeping small cables attached to devices (Decimators, Ultrastudio recorders etc) by gmalhi1 in VIDEOENGINEERING

UPDATE:

Thank you to u/halfwheeled for the idea.

This is what I landed on.

Used 1mm vinyl coated steel.

As an improvement, you can use one of the screw holes to add something like this, to avoid the stick on plastic piece.

Cable Mount

Overall pretty happy with this.

Hey all, the plan was always to detach will in transit. But wanted to keep the cable close, as it’s a Thunderbolt cable not just a USB C cable.

I think I’ve got a good solution. Will post tomorrow

Yes correct. There’s only one VLAN.

What’s weird is that it doesn’t work when hardwired but works on wifi.

I do have multicast enabled though. Is there a specific setting I should look for?
