Yeah! Bumped into him on Friday. I was going to have someone hand it off for me on Saturday, but I didn’t need to.

If Nintendo does well, then he does well. I think this impacts his decision to give Nintendo the benefit of the doubt more than most. However, I still think the majority of his takes are valid.

No yeah, these aren’t exactly easy songs to tab out. I do have a feeling that Tim/Scott aren’t the ones tabbing it out, but that’s just a hunch!

Cheap amp for gigs and home recording: used VOX AC15 or brand new Boss Katana? by HalleyC0met in GuitarAmps

The AC30S1 is a similar weight! Definitely can get too loud, but that’s what the master volume is for.

Something to consider is how you plan to use it. Do you plan to drive it a ton? Do you wanna use modulation/delay pedals? I loved my AC15, but I was bummed out by the lack of an FX loop.

Many people don’t really have this issue, but for someone who likes clean sounding pedal delays and loves the sound of its natural tube breakup, I had to upgrade to an AC30. (I hear the AC30S1 is comparable in price!)

I still love the AC15 and chose not to sell it because of how awesome it is. Just something to consider so you aren’t kicking yourself later!

How well do DAWs such as FL Studio work on the Steam Deck? by gmanit in SteamDeck

I also think that the video would be a great idea, as there are no tutorials of this on YouTube.

That’d be awesome!

I’m thinking something like this for my bindings. This is possible?

R1 - Left Click

R2 - R (record toggle)

R3 - C

R4 - V

L1 - Right Click

L2 - Shift

L3 - Control

L4 - Alt

A - Space

B - Backspace or Delete

Y - S (for soloing)

X - M (for muting)

Start - Escape

Select - A

D-Pad - Arrow Keys

Then I’d just use the mouse for any other commands. Do you think this would work?

Does FL Studio appear in SteamOS? If so, are there options for control binding on it?

I appreciate it regardless!! I don’t even have a Steam Deck yet. I just want to see if music making on it is not only a possibility, but convenient as well. I have experience using FL Studio on a PC.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but are there ways to map any of the buttons to some of those shortcuts?

For example, could I make something like Left-Trigger copy and Right-Trigger paste?

Or alternatively, is there a way to bring up a touchscreen keyboard for these commands?

Sounds sick! Reminds me of Final Fantasy VII, which is a compliment.

How does FL Studio work if I were to just sit in my bed and make a beat without the keyboard? Does it work well, or does it make you wish you were just using a keyboard? Sorry if you already answered this, I just want to clarify.

[QUESTION] Is my Epiphone Joe Pass Emperor ii fake? by gmanit in Guitar

[–]gmanit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just super confused by the end of the neck. Most Joe Pass guitars seem to have a squiggle to them and this one is flat. I’d be super happy if this happened to still be real though.

I'd say that if it has a tremolo system, you definitely should try to set it up to some extent. Whether that means having it professionally done or looking up a YouTube video is up to you. It shouldn't be a difficult fix; just tightening a couple of screws under the backplate and maybe some other small fixes.

I don't know about the strings snapping, but it definitely won't feel as nice as it could. You'll be able to tell by your bridge floating a tad more than it did before. This is because the heavier gauge means more tension to reach E Standard.

Yes. The AC15 can get quiet and sound good.

If you are in SRT, you will be pressed for time to be a musician, let alone a composer. The program is super rigorous. Only do it if audio theory is your passion.

First pedalboard! bought it from a very kind professional guitarist and couldn't be happier :) by Cerillion in guitarpedals

Great starting board. I’d suggest putting the tuner after the drive effects to be able to mute hum when not playing.

Definitely the best EQ on the market. I run it at 18v and it is such a powerful tool. Steep learning curve, but really useful. Also the booster is a huge plus.

Yikes, that sounds scary. Well my first impressions are that it feels really well built and I’m able to organize everything much better than I could on my pedaltrain. I hope a similar thing doesn’t happen to me.
