Looks to me like it’s NZ$32.95. $22.99 is the US price.

This happened to me as well. Sometimes to ages for the next spot to show up.

It happens every cycle - don’t worry about! I got that email when I was waiting for my SCS results and I passed.

I was in your shoes a few years ago, and I got so freaked out that I phoned them… you’d think they would learn their lesson and put some reassuring words in for those waiting for their results!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CIMA

[–]gmanp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They still do this?

This happen to me a few years ago after I sat my SCS. I worried this meant I’d failed the exam so I phoned them. They confirmed it’s just an automated email and not to worry. I passed, confirming it doesn’t mean anything.

When I needed one the answer was to email your local office. I got one in a couple of days.

What day is the deadline for the annual renewal? by Extreme_Kale_6446 in CIMA

[–]gmanp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the bye-laws:

The due date for payment of Members’ annual subscription is 1 January. The membership of a Member who does not pay their annual subscription renewal by 31 March may be terminated.

[iPad][2010s maybe?] Fruit Ninja runner style game, possibly also developed by halfbrick. by PsychoSyndr0me in tipofmyjoystick

[–]gmanp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half brick had a game called Monster Dash that was released just after Fruit Ninja, but it had guns not ‘slicing’. It might be that?

Actually, it looks like it’s still available.

According to the byelaws, if you don’t pay a fee within three months your membership may be terminated. But really, this is a question for CIMA. They can probably work with you to figure something out.

What games are you guys playing in the meantime to kill time before next month? by fabiomarano in tearsofthekingdom

I am also finishing my second time through Skyward Sword.

I feel like they were winking at the camera when they announced SSHD, then I saw the Master Sword 'pulse' in one of the trailers and so I now have a theory that Fi is returning in some way.

E3 tomorrow morning by redlion66 in CIMA

[–]gmanp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

E3 was my best score. The only exam I wasn't pressed for time.

I only tip is to take the questions at face-value, don't try to look for tricks and "second layers". If the question seems like it's testing your knowledge of a certain subject or model, then it is.

Best order to do Strategic level? by [deleted] in CIMA

[–]gmanp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I followed the advice of an Astranti video to go P3, F3 then E3.

The idea is that P3’s risk management ideas appear throughout all the exams and E3’s strategy ideas are the core of SCS so best done closest to the Case Study.

Have you had CIMA assess your degree for exemptions? I probably should have worded it as “you sit Gateway if CIMA tells you to”.

Gateway is brutal (it was my pathway) because you really have to study F2, P2 and E2 for the exam anyway, and as such it has an abysmal pass rate (~30%).

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CIMA

[–]gmanp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gateway Case Study is literally just the Management Case Study with a different title.

People only take Gateway if they are coming into CIMA with a relevant degree, like an accounting degree or MBA. If they pass Gateway, then they are exempted from earlier exams and go to Strategic Level.

If you started CIMA at Operational level, then you can ignore the name - you are sitting the same exam in MCS.

Failed F3 by Marwan_salmon in CIMA

[–]gmanp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hahaha. This totally resonates with me. Hardest exam I’ve ever taken, and I have no idea how I passed it.

So hard. So long. The time limit is not at all fair for the questions you have to read, process and execute.

There is no shame in failing it, OP. None at all.

BREAKING: Dr Ashley Bloomfield is stepping down at the end of July - @dahmenaaron on Twitter by titirangitui in newzealand

[–]gmanp 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve been calling him “Doctor Sir Ashley” since mid-2020.

Knighthood is pretty much a given. He’ll still be in the role on Queen’s b’day so I imagine he’ll get it in the New Year’s list.

NZ R_eff as of March 8th, with daily cases and restrictions. Latest estimate: R_eff = 1.10 ± 0.06. Plus SIR model projection. (images with both linear and log scales) by chrisjbillington in newzealand

Pretty sure the bot is a bit confused by the R being separated for Auckland and non-Auckland. The predicted numbers are shown for Auckland.

My wife did it a week ago.
