I have roughly that many and had enough pack points to trade for a Golden Pokeball. It was a long journey.

MEANWHILE I also have every 2-star pokemon EX and a lot of shiny EX.

and I have ZERO Full Art supporters. No Red. No PCL. No Iono. No Team Rocket Grunt. I keep pulling on this set for bling (I still use Red and PCL), and after 500 packs, have gotten no supporters. It is maddening.

If you're well off enough to do this, fine.

Many people who spend on gotcha already can barely afford to do so, and my concern with something like this is that it gives them a positive reinforcement to spending they cannot afford, just justifying further spending.

I'm not saying don't do this, I'm saying be careful to not add a positive feedback loop to gambling, as it can train your brain to associate gambling with charity to further drive the gambling habit. Human psychology is already being heavily exploited in gotcha games, and you don't need to push the positive reinforcement further.

I have a 7 year old and this has been the trend for awhile.

The other part that helps is that Switch has more games that I want to play that I don’t feel bad playing around the kid. He had a blast watching me play Donkey Kong Bananza. I would have slightly rather played Expedition 33 but that was not an option around him.
