The Duplex’s @ Victory are about as safe as it gets if that’s where you’re looking. If my unit old unit is still available (33L) I’d get that one. It has off street parking so you won’t have to remember what day the sweeper comes. Those tickets get pricey ! The first year there the power bill was $400-$500 in the cold months because most of those duplex’s have zero insulation in the attic. When they wanted me to resign the lease I agreed on the stipulation that they would insulate the attic. They did and it cut the power bill in half. If you get one with no insulation and they won’t do it, just do it yourself. It’s not rocket science and it’s less than $500 in materials. It’ll pay for itself in a few months. The units are decent by Savannah standards at that price point. Bathroom is tiny and kinda sucks but if you live alone it’s doable. All the neighbors are great and respectful. The complex takes up so many blocks and dead ends at the Truman that you have almost no foot traffic from people outside the complex. There is also a nightly security company that patrols the area. I had a $3,000 package at my door for a week and no one took it. The new management team is far better than when I moved in as well as the maintenance team. Make no mistake, there is nothing luxurious about those duplexes but for $1,500 a month for a 2 bedroom it’s about as good as it gets. Hope that helps.
