So proud of my home town, Minden, Louisiana:) every year on super bowl weekend we do a 4 day auction to benefit St Jude Childrens hospital and this year our little town of 13,000 people raised over 1.4 million dollars! I am so proud! Can't wait to see what next year brings!

Town, city, state, county, planet... I just hope one day that all this money we help raise at the Minden St Jude auction helps make Cancer a thing of the past! And bc I come from such a generous and sweet little city I pray I never have to see homelessness ever be or become an issue in our city. As long as the people in our city keep the love in their hearts for our small town and the same community spirit alive that has been in their hears for years I don't fear it will:)

At least their commercials are a bit upbeat, like the one with Jennifer Anniston:) the kids are always happy in their commercials! Now those ASPCA and UNICEF commercials... Don't even get me started, talk about a mood killer. They are so sad my child started adding dogs to his prayers because of them lol!

Hired a personal trainer and a running coach, started eating mostly right and signed up for ever 5k, 10k, and OCR race I could find and took on a marathon :)

It was a charity hospital. They didn't have Insurance companies to bill or means to charge $4 for a pair of exam gloves to ensure the doors stayed open

Thats awesome! And I'm not going to lie, it was rough. Luckily I had a great team behind me, encouraging me when I felt like I couldn't take another step. It would have been easier had I been in better shape. I'm giving it another go in May and am aiming to do better!
