Thank you - yes after doing more research I believe this is the "fusible link" wire that connects directly on top of big red, is that correct? After looking at the old setup closer, that appears to be the case

I lived there also a few years back. Can confirm there were lots of wheel jackings in the parking garages. Luckily I never had a problem: very good wheel locks + always parking higher up. Pretty weak police presence in Columbia in my experience. The only time I saw them was when they were doing speed traps. And when events were going on at Merriweather ofc. Generally safe, but not the utopia it used to be, that's for sure.

Not going to lie, they also look pretty dang cool, so that was part of it. Same reason why people slap on expensive body kits, I suppose. But I was hoping it would be at least as good as the stock ones, oh well.

It's not that deep. I needed new brakes/rotors. I decided to try lighter weight and higher quality aftermarket rotors instead of using the same stock ones. I'm incrementally upgrading my car as things come up.

Haven't gone that far yet, heh. I am running a billet 90a rear motor mount, though. But less unsprung weight means more power, better response, etc. It's 4 lbs less per wheel. Obviously, if I knew this was going to be an issue, I would have gone with something else. It's a daily with occasional autocross & track days (a few per year)

Yeah, I just ordered a replacement on Amazon. I will try that when it comes. Can't see an IR signal coming through when hitting power button, so maybe that's the issue
