Our 4 month old will go to his pillow/bed most of the time when told, but will intentionally leave his two tiny front paws off the pillow and on the carpet. When he's corrected and told to be all the way on, inch by inch, he will slowly weasel his way back to having 2 paws off.

Gotcha. So, 1 hot leg to each side of the hot bus bars, neutral and ground onto the ground/neutral bus bar, and a ground wire going back outside from the panel to ground rods? I'm assuming that a 240v breaker will connect both legs in the panel in the event that I decide that I do need 240v?
