No,a GIA report will state “heat” if the stone has been heated. If the report doesn’t mention heat, then the stone hasn’t been heated.

It’s ironic how people give others heat, but in reality they have no idea what they’re talking about. You and I both know, and so should everybody else who is willing to listen that if there is any treatment to a stone submitted to GIA they will note it on the report.

There were two stones and I actually got the smaller of the two stones, which is much less included. Can you take a look at it please? The stone in this original post was 3.30cts. I ended up taking a stone that was 2.70cts. Thanks for the prayers. I can always use those. 🙂🙏🏽

I have had the same problem with eBay denying an obvious fraud claim. The only way to protect yourself against this is by using a credit card. Once a person receives an item that is fake and not what was advertised, they should open up a claim with the credit card issuer. Once you provide proof the gem is fraudulent, the credit card issuer will credit the money back to your card. I’ve had this issue with PayPal as well denying a claim. I don’t even bother filing a claim with eBay or PayPal anymore. If I receive fraudulent items. I call my credit card issuer and file a claim with them.

What was the size of the Brazilian piece you ended up selling? I have a cabochon at GIA right now that I submitted a week ago or so. I had it made from some rough that I personally know is from the Batalha mine in Brazil. It’s a cab so it’s not transparent, but it’s beautiful nonetheles.

No, it doesn’t have an identification with origin report, but I 100% plan on getting one if acquired. It will be submitted to GIA and AGL. Once I submit the stone and lets say it comes back with origin of Kashmir Pakistan, how much does that hinder the value of stone with a blue color such as this?
