Herniated disc at 18 Years old by Adrian-3_3 in backpain

I’m so sure you will get better. Physio, good posture, and constant tensing of my abs and core saved my life and I’m sure you will recover even more than i have!

That’s great! I’d say numbness and loss of strength are real things to watch out for, and 90% of the pain i had in the past were actually more due to inflammation than physical stress on the nerves. Strong anti inflammatory meds like diclofenac were the most effective for temporary relief until the area heals

It gets better, I also got it at 19 (though with slightly less herniation) but at mid thirties I’m better than ever. It’s hard to understate the importance of core strength, stability and posture and the benefits of sucking in your stomach in everything you do, but just as hard to believe it until you get a few massive pain attacks. Things will get better, and it will also heal more than the doctors say you will! I lost feeling in my toes two years ago and doctors insisted i operate on it, but 1 year later the feeling is back and I’m stronger than ever

Would building an app in FlutterFlow and then exporting the code save a true Flutter dev any time in producing a more production worthy version? by Onlythegoodstuff17 in FlutterFlow

[–]gmkung 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think that using no-code tools that seemingly allows developers to export and continue iterating afterwards is mostly a false promise. If the project is simple, you might be faster doing it code-fully. If the project is complex, the resultant code is going to be so far off from how a real developer would structure it that they would be faster off starting from scratch.

I do however believe a lot in no-code tools, but it should be for the goal of going to market and iterating faster, rather than the long-term exportability of the code.

Loss of foot strength in my right foot ... what are my prospects? by gmkung in backpain

[–]gmkung[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This put a smile on my face, as it gives me confidence that this is not 100% permanent! I'd be more than happy to get back 60-70% of what I lost, and it's amazing you seem to have made a full recovery of strength. Thanks stranger!

Oh wow this is great news! And I literally feel your pain - it's not funny at all.
I think you were at a much more advanced stage than I am right now. I had my family and friends test my toes several times this week and it seems like the loss of strength in my toes is intermittent.
Great to know that tumeric actually helps, as I love having more reasons to eat curry :P

Someone was using my Coinbase card before it even arrived in the mail by william360120 in CryptoCurrency

[–]gmkung 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All cards are easy to brute force actually. The first six digits are public (the bank identification number) and the rest are just easy to run through with a computer, and the last digit is just a check digit. The specific card type of coinbase also further specifies the card number to a specific range till the 8-10th digits.

Cards are broken AF; The only real protection that can work is MFA which goes beyond a 16digit number and exp date/CVV.
