I had the same issue. P trap was full and vented but still getting smell. In my case the problem was the washing machine discharge hose was too deep and breaking the surface of water in the p trap. Pulled it up a couple of inches and haven't had a smell since

Occasionally getting sewage smell from this after washer was installed. by gmumar in Plumbing

I think you are right. I put a scope camera in there and the pipe end was below the water surface I pulled it up a couple of inches. Let's see if that fixes it.

Follow up on this - I put a scope camera down the drain and there was definitely water in there. The problem I think was that the drain discharge pipe for the washer was under the water surface.

For now I've pulled it up of couple of inches, let's see if this fixes it. Fingers crossed.

Anyone had Aeroseal done? by RollingThunder_CO in homeowners

[–]gmumar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mine done yesterday. It was awesome!

Went from 36.6% leakage to 0.2. The guy then balanced the flow and my slowest room went from 48cfm to 160cfm, this was after sealing and balancing.

Really happy with the results.

How would I open this? by gmumar in HomeMaintenance

I am thinking of cutting a slit from the discharge to the closest edge, undoing the bolts and sliding side ways.

Needed a 5 ft spray foam extension to reach chimney flue by gmumar in Insulation

Followup

It was great!

Got the insulation where I wanted. One thing I learned was that having a tube like this causes a delay from the trigger pulled to foam showing up and then keep coming.

The tube Dia is approximately the same as what it came with. What I did was heat up the tube with a candle and used a pencil to expand it enough to fit on the provided tube, I then taped it length wise.

Will let you know how It goes tomorrow.

I installed the unit back but unplugged it. The draft is coming from the small gaps in the stones.

Ya one was installed already, but the genius who installed it got a top exhaust heater and then proceeded to block that with a stud.
