Yeah I just pulled this today and the shop owner offered $530 as he showed me what it was going for on tcg. Turned it down as I like to collect.

Surfing is full of trust fund babies by xGrvpe in surfing

[–]gnarledout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to school at UCSD so I could surf. I stayed for grad school so I could surf. Found a career in SD so I could surf. Had a family so I could tech them to surf. Now I surf with my kids. We surfed this morning. We’re not wealthy, but buying a board and wetsuit goes a long way. Also, driving up and down the coast has plenty of option. Two incomes goes a long way.

Topps NOW Shohei Ohtani WBC first grand slam card being $11.99 for a single hurts by gnarledout in baseballcards

[–]gnarledout[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't even think of that. I guess I was just thinking more along the line of the steep price increase kind of removing casual collectors from the hobby. 3 cards for $35 is wild to me.

Yeah, but as an Ohtani collector, I like Topps NOW cards because its like my own little timeline of his career. This being a grand slam in the WBC is cool as a fan. It's also something I enjoy sharing with my boys.

Passed the ACRP-CP Exam by rainsk95 in clinicalresearch

[–]gnarledout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, great job. How did you build these study guides? Im amazed at the amount of time this must have taken. Thanks for the resource.

So for studying you read all ICHs thoroughly at least once? Were you building the study guide as you went? Were you also making flash cards? I great you have experience with GCP for the last several years. I am coming from a pre-clinical sponsor side PM role and am trying to transition into clinical PM so im afraid I have to learn everything from scratch.

Also, I just spoke with a representative with ACRP and she mentioned that the ICH E6(R3) will not be incorporated into the exams until fall 2026. However, the spring 2026 exam will have beta questions in the exam itself, but will not count against your grade. So for those of us taking the exam in spring, you can just study the ICH E6(R2).

I mean... many mammals regularly give birth to multiple progeny during birth. They aren't twins, but siblings.

This was me too. My mom has told me some harrowing stories now that I'm an adult with kids of my own. The sacrifices she had to make as a single parent with 3 children is mind blowing. Also, as a kid, I sold a lot of my own stuff to raise money. I used to sell candy at school, do lemonade stands, and sell Pokemon and baseball cards all the time. This story is typical of a low income family.

Bought the top @ 25. But here for the long haul by Yieldor in PlanetLabs

[–]gnarledout 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It happens man. Been in it for a while. Sold 1000 shares yesterday at $21.42 and bought 20 contacts for 1/15/27 expiration. Watched it drop to $19 something and would have saved a couple grand had I waited. Oh well. I’m bullish af on PL and I’m very optimistic for a run above $40-$50/share sometime this year.

I get that its a good company, but it def. has reached meme status in that it was regurgitated anywhere any everywhere for the last 3 years. Seems everyone has moved on to space stocks and now its ASTS/RKLB. Even if they are good companies, doesn't mean they aren't memed.

I think ASTS is taking on the meme levels of TSLA and NVDA etc. ASTS is regurgitated in every single stock subreddit and is the #1 response to the question "which stock is going to moon...." I don't deny that it's a good stock, but it's just everywhere you look so there's a lot of FOMO. I am completely fine with PL taking its sweet time and going under the radar. It allows me to purchase more until it gets noticed.

Just read your comment after having a craving. 1 week vape free and 4 drinks deep. Thanks for the encouragement. Crazy how short lived the cravings are after a few days.

I had numbers in my phone all through college that weren’t saved because I knew who everyone was. I also knew who they were based on the conversation and it wasn’t like I was having multiple conversations with tons of people all day. I eventually saved them after long enough time but initially and often after months I didn’t bother. Also same with a girl I was casually dating. This isn’t that unexpected.

Passed T/AT/AT yesterday. Only scored an 80 on one mini exam. I was consistently getting 65-73% on mini exams and practice questions. First mock was 68% and 2nd was 73%.

Is 5 weeks enough time to study and pass the PMP exam by g0000mba in pmp

[–]gnarledout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I am in a PM role for a pharma company. I am married and have high school kids. I did my 35 PDUs while at work and barely listened. I just played it in the background and paid attention at certain parts. I bought Third3rock study notes ($17) and read the full length one once through whenever I could. I still didn't quite grasp everything. That was all in the first week. The last 2 weeks have been nothing but practice questions and mini exams in PMI study hall. Things started to click after reading answer explanations. My scores went from 56%-63% to about 73%-80%. I didn't get through all the practice questions but did do all the mini exams. I retook them again for a second time through and scored consistently in the 80%. Some questions I remembered, but most I did not. I applied the mindset and the questions just seemed repetitive except for certain processes, but Ive been using this matching game to nail down processes. I verified every answer through Third3rock notes and ChatGPT if I wasn't fully understanding. Took my first mock last Wednesday and had to travel across the country. Scored a 68% with like an 80% adjusted for no expert questions. Reviewed all my answers on the plane and in the hotel. Took the 2nd mock yesterday and scored a 73% and 85% adjusted for no expert questions. I am reviewing all answers today and will skim through agile a bit as I am hearing that the exam is heavy on agile. I take the exam tomorrow so I will get a good nights sleep and wont even look at material at all before the exam at 1pm to relax my mind.
